As a province that’s famed for its hospitality, we’re excited to welcome the 2023 Canada Winter Games to Prince Edward Island. From February 18 to March 5, we’ll gather up to 3,600 participants to celebrate the very best in Canadian sport. Together we’ll spark a wave of greatness that shows every Canadian what it means to be an islander.
Our little Island packs a big punch. With adventure around every turn, beauty that’s hard to believe, food that is out of this world and energy beyond compare, Prince Edward Island will charm you from tip-to-tip. Led by our Board Co-Chairs, Wayne Carew and Brian McFeely, a dedicated and passionate group of volunteers and staff have been assembled to deliver an exceptional Games experience as we prepare to welcome the nation to PEI in 2023. Together, we’ll spark greatness and celebrate the power of sport, sharing the warmth, community, and spirit of our island with every corner of the country.
Showcasing the very best in Canadian sport, the 2023 games will feature winter staples like snowboarding and biathlon as well as brand new events including mixed doubles curling and karate. Featuring 3,600 participants, 20 different sports, 26 disciplines, and 174 events - it all adds up to the biggest event in our province’s history.
