Ringette

overview

No matter who is playing, we all win.

A relatively new Canadian sport, ringette was first played in 1963. While not on the Olympic program, ringette athletes can compete in the World Ringette Championships, and the domestic National Ringette League has elite-level competition opportunities.

Ringette joined the Canada Winter Games program for the 1991 Games in PEI, and has remained on the program ever since. Notable alumni include Jennifer Botterill, Brea Beck, Dailyn Bell as well as Team Canada bobsledder Erica Voss and Paris 2024 Olympic silver medalist in Rugby Sevens Alysha Corrigan.
